Introduction
Russian transportation system is not much advanced and several disadvantages plague it. Nevertheless, the government has taken initiatives to improve the transportation system in the country. Bus transport in the country is not much advanced and not too comfortable either. Majority of local travelers generally prefer cheap and slow trains that crisscross different cities. Trains are comfortable although they are slow. Needless to say, a vast majority of population depends on railways. Most of the cities in the country have a fairly extensive transportation network, which covers almost all parts of a particular city. Nevertheless, public transport suffers from over usage. Some of the cities have subway and underground metro, which is a viable option for medium and long-distance journeys. Within the cities, buses, trams, trolley buses, or taxis are available. However, their frequency might differ from time to time.
